Loading waits and display issues¶
Supported platforms and audience¶
Apple-build users; use this page to record stalls while opening, switching, or rendering.
Prerequisites¶
Keep the app version, device, input size, current layout, and stage text.
Steps¶
- Observe whether the stall is importing the source, preparing the first frame, or building 3D. A complete project may process schematic first, then PCB.
- Watch whether the stage and elapsed time keep updating, and whether cancel responds. Do not use a fixed number of seconds to decide that every board should have finished loading.
- If loading finished but you cannot find the drawing, return to 2D, use Fit All, and check Display.
- If panel occlusion or toolbar wrapping appears only in the narrow shell, enlarge the window and compare. Screenshot both layouts; do not record this as an import failure.
- For a stable stop on the same step, a crash, or missing key geometry, record the smallest reproduction steps and the exact input.
Result¶
You can distinguish a normal wait, missing source, framing / visibility issues, and a true stall.
FAQ¶
Can status-bar CPU / GPU numbers be used as a performance conclusion?¶
No. They are observations of the current frame. Different inputs, proportions, and operations cannot be compared directly.
What if objects are clipped after changing window size?¶
Use Fit All first. When canvas size changes, the camera’s retained view and screenshot bounds change. If buttons or text themselves are occluded, record it as a layout issue.
What does a 3D missing-stackup warning mean?¶
It means the source stackup information is insufficient, not that loading is stuck. Check the source files and the display warning. Do not treat an approximate board body as real manufacturing parameters.
